Ingredients
- 14 oz (400g) large prawns, peeled and deveined
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp sriracha or chilli flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- Salt and pepper
- Steamed rice and broccoli, for serving
Instructions
- Pat prawns dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in a large pan over high heat. Add prawns in a single layer. Cook 1-2 minutes per side until pink and curled. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic to the same pan. Stir for 30 seconds.
- Add honey, soy sauce, and sriracha. Stir until it bubbles and starts to thicken, about 1 minute.
- Return prawns to the pan. Toss in the sauce until evenly coated and glossy.
- Serve immediately over rice with steamed broccoli.
Notes
Don't crowd the pan. Cook prawns in a single layer or they'll steam instead of sear. If your sauce gets too thick, add a splash of water to loosen it. Substitute chicken breast or tofu if you don't eat seafood. Cut into bite-sized pieces and adjust cook time to 3-4 minutes per side.
