Ingredients
- 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp milk
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Pinch of salt
- Splash of vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp chocolate chips (optional but recommended)
Instructions
- Add flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt to a large microwave-safe mug. Mix with a fork.
- Add egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix until smooth. No dry pockets.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Microwave on high for 60-90 seconds. The cake should rise above the mug and look slightly wet on top. It'll set as it cools.
- Eat straight from the mug. Or don't wait and burn your tongue. Your call.
Notes
Every microwave is different. Start with 60 seconds. If the centre is still liquid, go 15 seconds more. Overcooking makes it rubbery.
